The SSOM team is wishing you all the best and hope that you and yours are healthy and staying sane this year. We know it’s been a tough time to navigate especially for those of us whose small businesses depend on events and gatherings.

With the holidays fast approaching the OTR Chamber and Second Sunday on Main are developing a number of ways to showcase OTR’s Small Business District as well as drive support to our local vendor community this holiday season!

We are taking Covid-19 seriously. All of the following activations will take place outdoors. Social distancing and mask wearing is mandatory to vend and to attend.

Shop Small Saturday

November 28th, 11a-6p

The OTR Chamber is elevating Shop Small Saturday this year! In tandem with the Holiday Market at Washington Park all of OTR will activate for Shop Small Saturday. We will pair vendors with OTR businesses to set-up outside their shops to create a walkable street fair in the same format as Second Sunday OTR.

Holiday Market at Washington Park

November 27, 3p-8p — November 28th & 29th, 11a-6p 

The OTR Chamber is curating the new Winter Market at Washington Park over the Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday weekend Nov. 27th-Nov.29th. The Vendors Huts usually found at Fountain Square are moving to Washington park for this new initiative. There will be 10 huts and up to 30 additional vendor spots available. [The Huts and have already been assigned]. 

The fee for Fri through Sun is $75, (Early bird sign-up by midnight 11.13 only $50!) 

    • Vendor fee includes:

      • One 10′ x 10′ pop-up tent 

      • Two 8′ tables and 2 folding chairs 

        • You are welcome to bring your own tables as well

        • The tents will be set-up ahead of time but Vendors are responsible for setting up their tables and chairs and wiping them down each day before set-up.  

    • You must commit to all three days of the Winter Market in order to participate.

  • We have limited spaces, so sign-up ASAP!

    • This market will be holiday/gift-focused, so keep that in mind when registering. 

    • Artists and crafters encouraged!

    • Due to this limited vendor space this will be a juried application process.

Second Sunday OTR

December 13th, 12-5p

The OTR Chamber of Commerce is harnessing the spirit of Second Sunday on Main in a new initiative to encourage shopping and online sales for our beloved Over-the-Rhine businesses. This OTR-wide walkable market will feature your favorite brick and mortars, a diverse array of pop-up shops, and local musicians brought to you by Cincinnati Music Accelerator. Merchants and vendors will set-up on the sidewalk outside storefronts to transform the whole neighborhood into a socially-distant sidewalk fair.

Event Information

2019 Festival Dates:  June 9th, July 14th, August 11th, September 8th, October 13th

Time: 12 PM – 5 PM, October event 6 PM- 11PM

Second Sunday on Main is a FREE neighborhood street festival in Cincinnati’s historic neighborhood of Over-The-Rhine. This monthly celebration is produced by Main Street OTR in collaboration with the Over-The-Rhine Chamber of Commerce.

Each month from June to October, an estimated 3,000 visitors attend SSOM each month to explore Main Street’s 40+ participating shops, galleries, restaurants, cafes, and bars and more than 200 vendors.

This year Second Sunday on Main celebrates its 15th anniversary. With support from amazing local businesses and organizations, this terrific event continues to grow connect the OTR community each year. Second Sunday on Main is more than a street festival, it’s a community event that brings neighbors together. It’s a fun place to hang out with friends, a hub to meet your OTR neighbors,  a fun event for families to relax, platform for great local music, and an incubator for aspiring entrepreneurs to sell their goods.

Vendors

Types of Vendors:  SSOM spans three blocks of Main Street, so there’s room for lots of vendors! Eligible vendors include: Artists, Creatives, Crafters, Arts-Organizations, Non-profits, & OTR Brick & Mortar businesses. Unsure if you are eligible? Please email us at SSOMVendors@gmail.com

SSOM vendors offer a variety of goods, services, and experiences, including:

  • Fine art
  • Illustrations and paper goods
  • Vintage goods and antiques
  • Clothing, accessories, and jewelry
  • Plants, produce, and fresh flowers
  • Beauty, health and wellness products
  • Culinary Artists
  • Entrepreneur
  • Non-profits and Arts Organizations

SSOM also welcomes arts organizations, non-profits, and neighborhood groups to participate. Non-profits receive 40% off their vendor fee. Final details regarding day-of set up will be emailed the week of the Second Sunday event each month.

2019 Vendor Fee: 

$125 for the full season or $40 per event (10’x10′ booth)

Non-profits: $75 for the full season or $25 per event.

*Special Rate: October 13th, 2019 (night event during BLINK), $125 for a single event (included in full seasonal rate)

Food Vendors

Second Sunday on Main has limited space for food trucks and vendors, and will make decisions with regard to seniority, creativity, ties to the Over-the-Rhine community, and ability to commit to all five dates. Food vendors – those with food trucks, carts, or food prepared on site – will be charged a $300 fee to set up for the season.

Those vendors selling packaged goods, such as baked goods and jams, or fresh produce may apply as a normal vendor.

All Food Trucks and Mobile Food Vendors applications must be approved by SSOM via email.
