People came out in droves to enjoy the perfect weather and dance in the street for Dance on Main! The Dance on Main event on September 9th brought out hundreds of folks to Over-the-Rhine.

Dancers performed at both Orchard Street and Fourteenth Street. The festivities were hosted by Cincinnati Conscience’s own Jai All Day. SSOM were able to check out hip hop, Middle Eastern dance, ballet, modern, country line dances, and more from groups like Doxologies Dance & Theatre CompanyPones Inc.KRE8VCincinnati Contra Dancers, Troupe Shuruq, and Keshvar Project (just to name a few!).

Chef Owen Maass of Cumin and mixologist Molly Welman of Japps created delicious food and cocktails, paired with a handpicked wine by City Cellars!

Main Street was taken over by a hay bail obstacle course for the Hudepohl Bier Laufen. Bartenders from ten different bars – Arnold’s Bar & Grill (defending champs), Neons, Milton’s, The Drinkery, MOTR, Dive Bar, Mynt Martini, FB’s, PLAY, and The Lackman – raced each other in make-shift racing cars through the course. Congratulations to Arnold’s for reclaiming their title!
