The final OTR Flag painting workshop will be at Main and Orchard Street, Sunday June 10. Come paint your vision, inspiration, favorite thing, and feelings about OTR! Supplies and guidance is provided at no charge. Painting begins at 11:30 a.m. and will continue until we run out of flags. Come early. Bring your friends!

OTR FLAGS is the first public event in the newly renovated and expanded Washington Park. The art installation will consist of 100+ colorful, hand painted silk flags that will line the sidewalks and surround the bandstand. OTR Flags began collecting these personal-size flags (28” x 28”) for the bandstand last September. Their first public workshop was September 2011 at Second Sunday on Main. Coming full circle, their last public workshop will be tomorrow at Second Sunday on Main.

Your flag will be displayed July through August at the bandstand in Washington Park. After this exhibit you can reclaim your flag.

Inspired by the silk flag installation “Gates” in New York City’s Central Park, OTR FLAGS is an integrated and engaging art installation that stimulates conversation and respect among the diverse populations living within OTR.
