Get ready to spend the dog days of summer with some of the best indie bands in the Midwest! Here’s the music lineup for the July 10th Second Sunday on Main:

12:30: Jonny Corndawg, Nashville

“Jonny Corndawg is a country singer, not a singer-songwriter. Born in Montana, raised in rural Virginia, Corndawg has been touring on his motorcycle since he dropped out of school in 2001. He’s played shows in every U.S. state, Canada and eleven European countries, Australia, Argentina and India. But you won’t find him on CMT. His music is more in the vein of that obscure ’70s gay country that housewives would discover on a Bear Family reissue in twenty years.”

2:00: Fort Wilson Riot, Minneapolis

“Founded as a quartet in 2005, Fort Wilson Riot gained instant recognition for their high energy and theatrical performances. While working on their follow-up record, Fort Wilson Riot amicably pared down to the duo of Amy & Jacob, and promises to bring you an unstoppable show of juggling instruments and exuberant musicianship.”

3:30: End Times Spasm Band, Indiana

“It’s the effortless lyrical and musical wit that keeps the band from becoming just a novelty act. Filled with plucky narrative songwriting and heartbreaking characters, the band’s period-style originals are both authentic and fresh.”- The Journal Gazette

“The kazoo growls and the banjo punches and the head spins, grinning all the while. 2 is one of the more consistently satisfying discs I’ve listened to in quite a while.” – Whatzup

“On their second short player The End Times Spam Band show that they can hold their own with any other band out there playing pre-big band jazz. These five folks know from “hot” with their early blues-influenced take on hot jazz.” – Sepiachord
